• EXTRA THICK PADDING - At a quarter inch thick (6.25mm), this mat has just the right amount of cushion. It’s easy on the knees and joints, but firm enough for balancing and standing postures. (Extra thick mats are often sponge-like during balancing postures, making standing exercises more difficult and putting your ankles at risk). • NATURAL NON TOXIC TREE RUBBER - Our base is made from sustainable natural rubber from Vietnam and Thailand. Natural rubber is non-toxic, sustainable, and comes from trees that are never cut down. The natural rubber in our mats is created by tapping into gum trees similar to how one would tap into a maple tree. The liquid that comes out of the tree is then used to make the rubber for the bottoms of our mats, and over time, this liquid replenishes.
